The case carcass is American black walnut and the lid is stunning burr walnut. The case is fitted with lovely silver plated quad hinges and is lined in green velvet with a cream satin silk cushion to the inside of the lid. The knife sits on a removable plinth beneath which is space to store a leather sheath and booklet.
